2011 Big Buck Contest Winners
This year's contest had some awesome entries with Pope and Young scores from 125 up to 170 plus. We want to thank club member Dan Irwin for taking the time to score all the entries for us. Everyone had great hunting stories to share but in the end they all ended with the timeless tale of good old fashioned luck, being in the right place at the right time.
The top winners are shown in the photo above. From left to right we have the 4th place winner, Gary Gunderson, with a score of 142-3/8. Next to him is Shane Claussen with his 3rd place entry of 142-5/8. Shane is the winner of the $75 gift certificate from Fireice Firearms in Cherokee. The 1st place winner, Justin Terrell entered his monsterous buck with a score of 170-6/8. His hunting story was fun hear and you can tell he truly enjoys the sport. His prize was the Scheel's Boondocks hunting blind. On the far right is 2nd place winner, Cory Wolterman, with his entry scoring at 159-3/8. His prize was the Remington 15' two man ladder stand.
The members of FDAC thanks everyone who entered the contest and congratulates all those who had successful hunts this season.
